HUSSAINABAD
Hussainabad is also an adjacent village of Skardu Town towards east. It is considered a model village with reference to Social Developments and Community based Reforms.
The visitors can enjoy Jinnah Park with a calm atmosphere in Husssainabad. A museum of cultural and historical heritage has also been development here. An upper village called “ISPICHO” is another place of tourist attraction in this area.
NANGTSOQ
It is a small organic village situated just at the back of the Kharpocho Hill with a walking distance of at least one hour. It is a very calm place without traffic and the visitors can enjoy the shades of old Chinar Trees planted around the flowing spring. It has been preserved as organic village by the Aga Khan Rural Support Programs showing the traditional living and farming systems.
THORSE / BILAMIK
This twin village is a complex of Balti and Shina Races, and is situated at the head of Harpo Village of Rondu at a distance of three hours drive is situated at a height of more than nine thousand feet above sea level. The pass leading to Parishing Valley Astore is said to open in July but it does not seem much used.
It has a beautiful Polo Ground and the people here are much fond of Polo. The valley is a tourist attraction with its natural beauty and natural life.
BASHO
Basho is the last village of Skardu Valley towards Rondu it is lush green with forests. It has the attraction of Trophy Hunting and one can reach there after one hour drive from Skardu Town. The specialty of this place is grapes particularly a small black-currant verity called “Zarshik” or “Shoqlo” that can be found in bulk.
STAK
Stak is an isolated village at the end of Rondu Valley, watered by a stream of the same name which joins the right bank of the Indus. It is considred a fertile land and with all Baltis inhibitant at the end of Rondu Valley.
The pass between the Stak and Tormik Valleys open in July for local and trekers but then only for three months.
Rong Khar and the Polo ground of Rongma Rdan Cho in the area are the historical and archeological sites as per folk lorists.
The people of Stak are very fond of Polo and contribute as great players of the game.
The advancing legendary glacier at the head of the valley is also worth seeing. There was a fort at Mopa, generally garrisoned by one company during the Dogra regime.
